About Maths For Fun
Maths For Fun is an educational initiative designed to transform how people experience mathematics. At its core, it combines puzzles, creative problem-solving, and play to help learners build confidence and fluency in maths.
The project began with a simple idea: that maths doesn’t have to feel abstract, intimidating, or only for the “naturally talented”. By presenting concepts through puzzles and games, Maths For Fun gives learners the chance to approach numbers with curiosity and enjoyment rather than anxiety.
Our work includes:
Puzzle Books: Collections of original puzzle types – including Code Breaker, Grid Sum, Tangle Trap, and more – designed to gradually introduce and strengthen key maths skills.
Online Resources: Printable posters, cheat sheets, and digital tools that make practice more engaging for learners of all ages.
Community Guidance: Practical tips for teachers, parents, and carers on how to use puzzles in classrooms, workshops, and family learning.
Inclusive Design: A focus on accessibility for neurodiverse learners, with puzzles and layouts created to support a wide range of thinking styles.
Maths For Fun is not just about solving problems – it’s about changing perceptions. By making learning playful, collaborative, and inclusive, we aim to show that maths can be enjoyed by anyone, no matter their background or ability.
Why Maths For Fun Matters
- Traditional maths learning can feel abstract and intimidating.
Puzzles offer a low-pressure, playful way to build fluency.
Neurodiverse learners often thrive when given visual, logic-based challenges.

Our Latest Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Maths For Fun Launches Book 1 and Website – A New Way to Make Maths Engaging and Inclusive
2nd July 2025 – Maths For Fun is proud to announce the release of Book 1 in its puzzle-based maths series, alongside the launch of its official website, www.mathsfor.fun. This dual launch marks the beginning of a new approach to learning mathematics, designed to make the subject enjoyable, accessible, and inclusive.
The first book introduces learners to original puzzle formats such as Code Breaker, Grid Sum, Tangle Trap, and more. Each puzzle type has been developed to strengthen algebraic thinking and logical reasoning while keeping the experience playful and low-pressure. The aim is to shift the way learners view maths – away from drills and towards curiosity, exploration, and fun.
The new website, www.mathsfor.fun, extends this mission by providing:
A growing library of free resources including posters, worksheets, and cheat sheets.
Articles and blog posts offering guidance for teachers, parents, and learners.
Information on how to run your own maths challenge nights, workshops, and community events using Maths For Fun materials.
Dedicated pages for neurodiverse learners, highlighting strategies and resources to ensure that maths is accessible to everyone.
Quote from the Maths For Fun team:
“Our goal is to make maths something people look forward to, not something they fear. By turning abstract concepts into playful puzzles, we give learners the confidence to explore and enjoy the subject on their own terms.”
Book 1 is available now through our website / Amazon, and the website will continue to expand with new tools, puzzle types, and community stories.
